Rob Roy Andrew Keeler
Rob Roy Andrew Keeler was born in August 1971 in York, England. His father served in the British R.A.F. and as a result in his early years he traveled extensively throughout Europe with his family. He attended college between 1997-1999 at De Montfort University in Lincoln, England, where he studied Photography and Video Imaging. Later, he attended Nottingham Trent University in Nottingham, England, 1999-2002, where he received his Bachelor's Degree, with Honors, in Photography. His University years also included studies in Photography at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. After finishing University, Rob Roy moved to Thailand in June 2002 where he worked as an Underwater Videographer and Photographer and also taught Underwater Photography to students. In December 2004 due to the devastating Tsunami that hit South East Asia Rob Roy was forced to leave Thailand after losing his home and livelihood. He now resides in Tampa, FL, with his wife Heather and is an active member in the artist group Gala Corina, and recently displayed work in the group's Nueva Vida show at Channelside in Tampa. Some of his work can currently be seen at the Wine Not gallery in St. Petersburg, FL. As both an artist and resident, he is new to the Tampa Bay area and hopes to continue working as a photographer, sharing his vision and experiences with others.
