John Langley

Educated in Architecture at the University of Florida, John has spent the better part of the last decade focusing on sculptural fine art with an obvious penchant for steel. Using either designed and fabricated steel forms or carefully chosen found steel objects, he expresses what he views as a "...meticulously ordered universe in which there are no accidents." Natural orders in physics, biology, and mathematics are transformed into compositions that usually rely heavily upon the repeated form. And while his work pays obvious homage to constructivist history, his works are in fact very emblematic of a strict organic approach to design.
