This all happened by accident starting seven years ago. In 1998, I started an online vinyl and CD business. In the process I taught myself web and graphic design. Within a year, I was approached to do advertising for small businesses. When public interest in vinyl continued to fade, starting my own design company was a natural step. After snapping and editing pictures over the past few years, I found that I have an array of interesting photos that just don't it the conservative world of advertising. So here I am. Fine art photography (if you would call it that?) Neglected treasures found in travels and everyday life are my inspiration. Some experiences are best caught on film, since it is not always possible for others to experience them first hand. Places such as; Atlanta's Clermont Lounge, The Saturn Bar in New Orleans and The Musée Mechinique in San Francisco are so arcane they defy words. It is my attempt to capture their nuances on film. Enjoy. Art Process: The images are shot digitally and then they're brought into Photoshop and layered with other texture images to give the photographs an older decayed look. On some of the images I will removed and change the color or certain elements in the photograph to suit my personal vision. (very few photos escape this process). Then all images are sent to a lab for developing on Kodak metallic Paper (Process explanation Below) to give an incredible depth to the image. Returned photographs are mounted and matted with black matting (Hence the website background color). About the printing process: KODAK PROFESSIONAL ENDURA Metallic Paper is a color negative paper with a unique metallic appearance. It is coated on a patented multi-laminate base that provides durable, tear-resistant prints. State-of-the-art image stability Improved light stability - over 100 years before noticeable fading in typical home display Significantly improved dark stability - over 200 years before noticeable fading under most common storage conditions.
