LESLEY REED Conceptually my work explores the intimacy between a man and a woman and sometimes, more specifically, the role the woman takes on in her relationships with men. My intention is for the viewer to feel a connection with the figure and to evoke a recollection of a similar personal experience or feeling they too, have had. Technically, I enjoy exploring heavy textures and their relationships with color using acrylic paint mixed with a variety of other mediums.
